Our story

We bought Casa de las Viñas after falling in love with the vineyards, mountains, towns, villages, people, food and wine of this amazing – and relatively undiscovered – part of Spain. Carolyn was working as an English language teacher in local schools, and I was exploring other options for work after a career in advertising. 

I’ve been a keen road cyclist for some years and was staggered at the variety and quality of riding here. My enthusiasm for cycling, combined with our shared passion for nature, the great outdoors (and good food and wine!) led us to the door of Casa de las Viñas. 

We’re now based in Requena, just down the road, and happy to help with anything that will make your visit more enjoyable. If you have any specific questions or requests before or after you book, please email us and we’ll do our best to assist.
